De Buck Gallery

New York, US

David De Buck, the founder of De Buck Gallery, entered the New York art world in 2008 as a private dealer, working mainly with secondary market New Realist and Pop Art works. Born in Belgium into an art-collecting family, David worked for several years as a Swiss banker prior to moving to New York; this upbringing and experience provided him a strong background both in the European art scene and in international finance. In 2010, David’s desire to work with emerging international artists inspired him to open a gallery space in the heart of Chelsea. Since then, De Buck Gallery has grown exponentially, attracting seasoned collectors as well as first time buyers from across the United States and abroad, as well as having a world-class roster of young and mid-career artists, and a highly experienced staff.

De Buck Gallery is dedicated to showcasing an international roster of emerging and mid-career contemporary artists whose diverse practices include painting, performance, installation and photography. Street art and new media are two of the gallery's primary areas of interest. Having recently moved to a prime ground-floor location in the heart of Chelsea, the gallery will expand its artist roster, reflecting an ongoing desire to introduce critically acclaimed artists to a New York audience. The gallery is dedicated to showing a wide range of cutting-edge artists, as evidenced by recent exhibitions of work by Zevs and Kelly Reemsten, and providing a link between collectors and institutions in the United States and throughout Europe.
