Konrad Fischer Galerie

When Konrad Fischer opened a tiny exhibition space in a disused alley in the center of Düsseldorf with a first exhibition by Carl Andre in October 1967, Minimal or Conceptual Art were hardly known in Europe. Many artists of that period such as Richard Long, Bruce Nauman, Sol LeWitt, On Kawara, Lawrence Weiner, Hanne Darboven, Robert Ryman, for example, had their first solo exhibitions in Europe at “Ausstellungen bei Konrad Fischer“, and have continued to exhibit at the gallery regularly up to the present day.
