Founded by David Messum in 1963, Messum's are a second-generation family firm of art dealers specializing in British Art from 1750 to the present day. For over 40 years we have pioneered the research and re-evaluation of important periods in British Painting, and are particularly renowned for having led the market in the re-appraisal of the British Impressionist artists, along with the Newlyn and St Ives schools of painting. Today Messum's continues to be internationally recognized as a leader in the field of British art.
