Laurent Amiot: Canadian Master Silversmith

During the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Laurent Amiot redefined silversmithing, turning it into an art form. This first retrospective devoted to Amiot and his work includes approximately one hundred key works, as well as a selection of his drawings. The exhibition explores his contributions to the revitalization or development of religious, domestic and commemorative silver, and includes portraits of his patrons and views of Quebec City, evoking the context in which Amiot lived and worked.
