After the successful launch of our exhibition series in 2014 and its continuation in 2015, New Neighbourhoods is now entering its third round. Once again we will take masterpieces from the collections at the Alte Pinakothek that are currently closed for renovation and present them in unusual constellations. This time, Rubens, Rembrandt and Poussin will make room for works by early German masters as well as paintings by the Brueghel family. The exhibition series makes it possible to show these works to the public despite the temporary closure of sections of the Alte Pinakothek. In fact, it is an opportunity to discover the works afresh: presented outside of their usual setting, new and surprising aspects come to light.
