Get to Know Me
What do you do in the art world?
I’m an art advisor, and my work revolves around helping collectors navigate the contemporary art market. I advise clients on acquisitions, guiding them toward artworks that align with their interests, values, and long-term goals, whether it’s building a meaningful collection, investing in key artists, or supporting emerging voices.
How did you begin your career in the art world?
I began my career at Christie’s, which was an integral experience in shaping my understanding of the art market. Working there allowed me to develop a deep knowledge of how the market operates, from auctions to private sales, while also learning the right ways of working. Just as importantly, it was a place where I collaborated with many others across the industry, from specialists to collectors, gallerists, and institutions, building the relationships that remain essential to my work today. During my time at Christie’s, I also launched the ArtTactic Podcast in 2009, which gave me the opportunity to engage with some of the most influential voices in the art world. That combination of hands-on market experience and independent research set the foundation for my transition into art advisory, where I now help collectors navigate the market and build meaningful collections.
What are the most interesting aspects of your work?
The most interesting aspect of my work is managing all the details that go into a single transaction. From helping my clients identify an artist for their collection to assessing the quality of different works, negotiating on their behalf, and ensuring the piece safely arrives and is installed in their home, every step is engaging. There are many facets to each acquisition, and ensuring everything goes smoothly is both rewarding and fascinating.
