Sharon London Liss, president of Sharon London Liss Inc., has extensive knowledge in 20th century art, both Canadian and International, as well as Inuit. She studied at Universite de Montreal and McGill University. Following many years in the art world, first at Galerie Elca London in Montreal and later as the manager for Hudson’s Bay Company Inuit Art Marketing, she completed the following courses: American Society of Appraisers, SE100: Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) in affiliation with New York University, 1998 and the International Society of Appraisers Core Courses in Appraisal Studies, University of Maryland, 1999.
Since 1986 Sharon London Liss has worked as a private dealer and appraiser. She was an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, 1999 – 2004. Sharon was elected to the Art Dealers Association of Canada in 2009 and served a 4 year term as the President of the organization.
Sharon has worked with numerous corporate collections, institutions, and family office. She has experience in acquisitions, deaccessioning, and legal situations.

What do you do in the art world?
I am a private dealer working with corporate and institutional clients. I manage several corporate collections and advise on acquisitions as well as deaccessions. My practice includes experience with legal situations - bankruptcy, business dissolution, estate etc.
How did you begin your career in the art world?
I grew up in the artworld. My mother was a renowned dealer in Montreal as well as a president of the Art Dealers Association of Canada. Art is in my genes!
What are the most interesting aspects of your work?
Every day is a different day! I never know what the next phone call or email might be. My business is strictly by referral. I have built strong long standing relationships. My clients have always recommended my expertise and attention to detail.
